We are involved as part of the design team to develop a concept for low-cost, environmentally aware future build techniques, the ethos being to explore new ways of delivering Passivhaus plus standard accommodation and truly affordable homes for the future.

This exciting ongoing project has so far seen planning secured for a prototype building in the Needwood area, on the fringe of a woodland. Proposals make use of zero-carbon materials, innovative foundation techniques and passive heating and ventilation, with the final façade cladding being cut from trees felled on site, as part of the forest management plan.
